Hello /c/death_metal! I’m not sure what the plans for this community is but I really love the threads in the death metal subreddits and wondering whether there are plans for weekly threads. Should include Immolation in there, but I don’t know them well enough to put a specific album. I saw them live recently and they were a lot of fun, so I’ve been trying to listen more.
Wow that takes me back, haven’t listened to old school stuff since I got into death metal a few years ago - I do need to listen to Necrophagist again, I love how technical they are.
Kalmah’s new self-titled album is pretty amazing

My favorite song of theirs is Hollo, but their new album gives you a good feel of their discography :)
Haven’t been listening to much death metal recently but I’ve been putting on the new Ascended Dead album ever since it came out, definitely my favourite release of the year, just love that chaotic wall of sound style and the drummer is just insane. Other than that it’s the usual Morbid Angel + Bolt Thrower combo 😛
