Bridget mains are going to be hurting after this one :(. At least testament mains (me) are eating good
they phrase shit weirdly, is hard knockdown after WA wallbreak gone? probably a good thing, even with the red wild assault changes in 3.5 shit feels very snowbally and minimally interactive a lotta the time. Also DP RC gone but you can’t throw DPs anymore? am I reading that right? EDIT: oh and thank fucking god for that white wild assault nerf, idk what they were thinking last patch with that shit.
correctly assessed that my boy Faust is Fine, though I wonder if the meta will shift away from normal guys and big bodies which indirectly helped him last patch, he has some pretty good innate advantages against those archetypes which is part of what made him the best he’s been in Strive overall IMO. though idk, blue wild assault users might be feastin now since it didn’t get touched and was already broken (just less broken than the other two types, WA overall is an insane mechanic lol)
i stopped playing for like a year and i came back and i’m still trying to figure out what a wild assault is and what it’s for. excited for the team battle mode tho.
in theory i think the design intention is: red = combo tool (most advantageous on hit), blue = blockstring extender/used for set-ups/mix, and white = neutral skip to help big bodies with their mobility issues. in practice though this shit was badly overtuned so red was also busted on block and white was an abomination that did pretty much everything last patch. this led to wild assault being something you kinda just Did in a braindead manner. blue mostly worked as intended but still v strong. worth noting that blue does also give you hit confirms they’re just weaker than what you get from red.
hopefully this patch will bring it more in line with design intentions rather than having WA be a “haha go burrrr” homogenized generalist tool
Millia mains: are we invisible to you?
I’m mainly a sf6 player but I’ve thought about picking up GG to enter it for funzies when I go to tournaments (also so I can watch it and understand what’s going on). Does the game do a good job of teaching you the mechanics or is it like most fighters where you have to kinda dig into discord servers to actually understand how to use most of the tools they give you?
