Screenshot of the article in question. I’ve ctrl+F’d for the word “tofu”, which has zero results.

That is interesting, we foster rescue dogs and the rescue puts all dogs on 100% raw meat diets, the difference in energy levels and coat condition in the first few weeks is amazing every time.

Does anyone here have their dogs on a plant based diet? How has it gone?

Oh, nice coats you say? They must fetch a nice price on the fur market.

That is a really weird reply. I thought you were trolling until I saw you were OP.

Dogs coats are really important for their health as they are a major component of controlling their body temperature.

So the options are:

  • glorious shinny fur
  • no fur at all

nothing in between?

My dogs eat plant-based kibble, and have no issues whatsoever. Much like yours, all of mine were rescues, and their condition improved noticeably after we brought them home.

I attribute it to their escape from abuse and neglect rather than any part of their diet.
