Did I beat the cancer bot? Am I now allowed to think for myself on the content posted without someone Correcting the Record?

Nope, the bot makers have simply blocked me from seeing it! Thank you so much for telling me the Truth™.

Edit: I must have just been faster than the bot, I can see it’s litter again. That or they unblocked me. Who knows.

  1. Correct, but as a member of the community I am trying to voice my concern over Rooki choosing what is correct for everyone, without a vote.
  2. Blocking for me doesn’t block for everyone. This is being forced on everyone and highlighted as if it was the objective truth.
  3. No thank you, I am not a Marxist-Leninist

When everyone gets a subsidy no one gets a subsidy. The price of child care will just adjust upwards to include the tax credit.

My immediate first thought. In the short term, I’d be thrilled with any relief because we’re hurting but the bill doesn’t come close to addressing the root causes of runaway costs.

Never mind the quality of childcare in low and mid-income neighborhoods. You couldn’t pay for a month of quality care with the extra $500/year (800? depending on the additional tax credit) of refundable credit.

How bout you break up monopolies that are inflating prices of basic necessities to the point where it’s the only thing the middle class can afford?

Oof, so rather than regulating the cost of child care we’re gonna subsidize the industry whose costs are already predatory. Free money for business interests? No wonder this is bipartisan!

This idea is not at all stupid government spending and will surely drive costs down.

Fuggen lol man…
