Figured while I posted one of my favorites, I would also post my absolute favorite audiobook. I really like “soft horror” and Hill house is suuuppppeerrrrrr influential to the greater horror sphere. It’s had a buh-jillion iterations, and I am not sure if any of them were bad (although some people will probably fight me on The Haunting). But the audiobook, I have listened to about 750xs. Because this narrorator has a very unique voice, a clear background in acting, and can transform her essence left and right in zero seconds flat. Very animated! I originally listened to this on Libby as well, but later grabbed it here because I wanted to make sure I could carry it with me. This is also a great read, listen, watch - tale you can absorb through osmosis. However you get it, ti’s a great get.

I remember being freaked out over the early 2000’s remake, harder than any movie ever. But I watched it recently and it was silly, laughable how scared I got back then

I’ll revisit the audiobook! Great promotion of it, I got hyped!

Hey, human =D! Hahahaha! I didn’t see anything here so idk if any of these would be seen =)~!

I am telling you, I listened to this audiobook turned around and listened to it again. It really is some kinda lovely. I was out here doing preeeemiumm yard work and not sweating it one bit, cause I was so entertained. Hahahaha! I hope you like it if you get your hands on it. I ended up doing a whole piece on it, slapped myself for only ever reading We Have Always Lived in the Castle and ran out and grabbed the book too.

Okay, look people hated the shit outta that movie but I legit liked it back then and I legit still like it. It’s most def goofy, but I mean I can’t think of one adaptation of it that isn’t. Even the “ultra-premium” spookfest that is that Mike Flanagan Netflix adaptation. Also I always assumed that House on Haunted Hill was influenced by The Haunting of Hill House…but I guess it wasn’t? Or it was some ENIAC/ABC Machine shenanigans. Either way, if you haven’t seen the movie tis very good (I watched on the Internet Archives and would link but idk If I am allowed to) it’s got peak Scooby Doo/Gentleman Caller energy.
