What denomination is this church, or does it label itself as non-denominational?

This movement is now increasingly involved in electoral politics, advocating for conservative social and political policies based on literal interpretations of the Bible.

Just to clarify: theyโ€™re arguing that these are literal interpretations of the Bible. What theyโ€™re really doing is taking literal reads of specific passages of the Bible from a selected translation.

Theyโ€™re ignoring other passages that are meant to be taken literally, like โ€œlet he who is without sin cast the first stone,โ€ โ€œlove your enemy as yourself, do good to those who hate you,โ€ and โ€œlove The Lord your god with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbour as yourself.โ€

And who is your neighbour? Well, for that, Jesus told a parable; you might know of it, about a good Samaritan (also known as the parable of the hypocritic religious leaders). If you wanted a social equivalent to Samaritan today, you might replace them with a Trans person.

Anything with religion deserves no say in politics.
