hell yeah I’m reactionary, I am nostalgic for a time when socialists actually learned and talked about materialist science and weren’t all liberal arts Bookchin PMC like the Adbusters radlibs at Occupy Wall Street. Woke millennials insist we need a new flag for communism because farm and factory production isn’t foundational to the economy anymore (“my friends are programmers and baristas, that’s the new working class” ok but ignoring the material base is the definition of idealism lol, like redditors who insist ‘nuclear is clean!’ because they ignore mining and waste management and actually existing contradictions that ruin their utopian dreams)
Imagine believing you are a progressive despite not knowing any of the innovations of the 21st century except what you read in a Twitter screenshot of the headline in a news article. Proletarian people are leaving their armchairs everyday, excited to learn. They are always telling me about wild new inventions that are interested in applying to enrich the lives of their friends and families. That’s what makes them the most constructive class, they have skin in the game and are really in it. In my lived experienced, its not an exaggeration to say “ex-cops who make videos about farming or manufacturing have done more to educate our proletarian comrades than Breadtubers who have never gotten anyone any bread”.
Degrowth for the imperial core, growth for everyone else
I feel like most if not all Bookchin people would be friendly to degrowth
I appreciate your willingness to interact with this post in good faith, but this is a bit. The content usually surrounds some leftist concept (like ‘degrowth’ or in this case ‘replacing the hammer and sickle’) and apes leftists’ use of specific language - the phrase “liberal arts Bookchin PMC like the Adbusters radlibs at Occupy Wall Street” is the real tell here.
