I’ve been playing BG3 since I was first able to find a torrent, using the fitgirl repack, and I think I’m going to buy this one. To play online of course, but also to support the devs for making a damn decent game.
Would really like not to lose my progress - think it’ll transfer without any problems?
They do. Also you can play the pirated version online, there’s no DRM. Good on you for buying it though, it’s the kind of game it’s good to support
Tbf I will pirate game to try it and if I like it I’ll pay for it.
I know why it doesn’t work as a business model but of its worth my money I’ll give it.
It’s a DRM-free game so I don’t see why not. When the pirated copy is literally the same file as the Steam copy it makes sense that it would work.

I don’t see why not, but If it doesn’t you can just pick up where you left off with the original install.
