The gross, almost organic looking guns are certainly a vibe. I’m a fan of just after those went away for marines and they started having more clearly boxy weapons, but the early art certainly does convey the descent into a nightmare setting for humanity.

It certainly does, I love Ian Millers work. I think his fantasy art for Death on the Reik portrays wonderfully twisted version of fantasy as well.
