My grandpa bought it from a native guy in Arizona in the 70s is all I know about it. Wondering what others think.

E: per @Moonworm@hexbear.net’s suggestion, I found the brand and year and found the exact same belt on ebay . Looks like my grandpa confabulated some story about a belt he bought at like a land’s end or something.

If a native american asks you for it, then you must give it to him but otherwise you’re good.

Does it have maker’s marks on the reverse? You might be able to find out who made it. There are a lot of great Indigenous silversmiths. Not to say if it’s ok or not to wear, but learning more about it might help you appreciate it and decide how to feel about wearing it. Nice piece, too.

Gramps was on one. I never thought to look but its a Billy Belts 1994 stamp on it lol. He must’ve made the whole story up which feels gross.

It probably is, but I think it’s more problematic for someone to be staring at your crotch

No but only if you perform a land acknowledgment as soon as you enter any room.
