I receive updates from the University of Austin substack only for the
I’m just googling it now and, talking about ideas, boy! Plato sure had some interesting ideas about slavery. The amount of marble bust avis in this room must be off the charts.
This can’t be anywhere close to the largest circlejerk of all time, but it has to be, at least, some critical nexus of circlejerkery or like, one of the more notable containment breaches.
I didn’t know Prof. Refaat Alareer before his death, and don’t want to co-opt the tragedy of the loss of him or his family for some stupid American scam university bullshit. But reading about his life really hammers in the dichotomy between a person like who Prof. Alareer was and an inveterate grifter like Bari Weiss and the tragic and pathetic irony our world is capable of. A person who dedicated their life to teaching English to people in their home so young persons can share their stories of love and hardship living in the open air concentration camp of Gaza with the whole world has left us, while the person who instigated their death after months of training a twitter mob on Prof. Alareer and their family until some yucko in a Tel Aviv bunker fired a missile at Prof. Alareer to defend the honor of the Zionist Twitter Helen of Troy who gets to live and speak to a roomful of nerds about how fighting wokeness is an ancient greek value and by attending the University of Austin you’re basically a hoplite in the ideas phalanx against western degeneration.
.
If I get killed by Israeli bombs or my family is harmed, I blame Bari Weiss @bariweiss and her likes

I blame Bari Weiss too and hope for justice in the future.
When I was a kid hackers would regularly ruin shitty people’s lives. Like if you pissed off a hacker they’d post your entire credit report somewhere, cancel your utility accounts, order credit cards in your name and give the numbers out, just absolutely wreck your life. That doesn’t seem to happen as much anymore.
Madam Weiss please accept me as your hoplite soldier defender of Christ.
had to look it up. literally year 0 ass unaccredited “school”. check out these highlights.
Conservative philanthropist Harlan Crow provided office space in Dallas for UATX. Crow is a major donor to the university.
harlan crow is the guy who purchased Clarence Thomas and likes to show off his autographed copy of Mein Kampf, which he keeps on display at his house in a room full of Nazi memorabilia.
The UATX current business model includes (1) transparent pricing, (2) efficient use of public services (such as police) and partnerships with private industry (medical care, housing, and rec center), and (3) reduced administrative costs, employing virtual contractors outside the US.
i can’t even imagine how dogshit lowest bidder virtual contractors are going to be at resolving issues. like damn, can’t even talk to a person IRL.
According to the Austin Chronicle, the University of Austin planned to have 3,000 to 4,000 students by 2024.
more like…
The founding 2024 class is expected to enroll 100 students, growing to 200 students in 2025 and 1,000 students in 2028. After the founding class, which will receive free tuition for four years, tuition is expected to be about $32,500 per year, with a large number of students to receive scholarships.
In a groundbreaking partnership, bitcoin native financial services company Unchained and the University of Austin are launching the first long-term endowment fund held in bitcoin. This innovative collaboration aims to raise $5 million, which will remain invested in bitcoin for at least five years. This initiative marks a significant step in integrating bitcoin into higher education, reflecting a mutual commitment to forward-thinking financial strategies.
The way it’s worded on Wikipedia makes it sound like they actually raised the whole $5 million in bitcoins, but the only figure I can find is the 2 bitcoins($138,000) that University of Austin announced and then shills with 10000 algorithmically generated articles on it. Holy shit, the University of Texas at Austin HAS to sue these people into changing their name. This is such an obvious scam.
I don’t see any more copies of Plato’s Republic on any of the tables. I can’t tell if that’s a set piece to add to the absurd bullshit fancy lad prom, or some particularly fancy lad can’t eat without jacking themselves off under the table to the hierarchical world imagined as perfect by an aristocrat who’s been dead for 2400 years.
