But also - he’s just an astronaut (not diminishing the achievement, the opposite - highlighting that he is one, just like his peers).

Unless they’ve built him his own para -llel spaceship, and are launching him on a para -llel mission, which I’m sure they aren’t.

You (in general, not op, I assume you didn’t personally write this) don’t just get to add “para” in front of an activity or profession to indicate that disabled people participate in it, those activities are just life, and including disabled people in it should not be considered “parallel” to life.

Anyway, good luck to him!

That makes sense to me. Going to space is going to space; astronauts go to space.
