Pretty much only played Greedfall last week. Game is going good, not much to add about it.
One thing that I didn’t mention before, and that shows it’s “AA” or low budget is that interior of the buildings is same. For instance, the governer’s building is same from inside for all factions. Exactly the same. Same goes for our house in all the cities. Not a big deal tbh, but something I noticed. Doesn’t effect the gameplay, or the narrative, which is fun.
Playing a bit of Earthlock but going to focus on it this week, in hope of finishing it this week. Will only get Zelda after I have finished this. Otherwise I won’t play it for couple of months and then won’t want to get back to it.
Didn’t play Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter this week. It has been demoted to a side game when I have nothing else to play, as I want to finish both Greedfall and Earthlock first. Once they are finished will switch it to primary game, cause I want to give it proper focus it deserves. Well, maybe after Legend of Zelda.
What about all of you? What have you been playing?
I bought nintendo online so that I could try out the online mode mode in super smash bros, and it’s really discouraging. I thought I was alright at it because I’ve basically completed the game and done the hardest challenges, but on online I’m riduclously outclassed. I think I played like 30 games last night and won only 2. I know it has a ranking system to match you up with similar players - I don’t know if it starts you out pretty high at first or something, because I feel like I’m a level 1 CPU right now.
Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] - wheeeee
Skullgirls - hehe
Splatoon 3 - I may have hurt some people today
Mahjong Soul/Riichi City/IRL mahjong - Very close to hitting 7th Dan on RC, and at the same time I’m closer to dropping to Expert 2 on MJS than I am to earning my Master 1 back. Honestly I think this is just a consequence of RC’s rating system being kinda jank.
Been working on a secret project, so I haven’t had much time to play anything but my usual rotation.
I may have made a huge mistake.
I started playing Civ 5. I bought it a long time ago when the whole package was 90% off and finally decided to play it. And that’s all I did. I knew this wasn’t going to be a casual experience. I played Civ 3 when it was the most recent game in the series my old Laptop was able to play and the SNES version of Civ 1 a couple of years later (because apparently, I only play the odd-numbered ones). I knew the risks.
But I also have a bunch of vacation days to use up, so I took a week off from work to just let this happen. Get it out of my system and hopefully move on from there. Don’t bother holding my beer, it’ll be stale by the time I come back out of this rabbit hole.
Haha, you took a big risk. I have stayed away from Civilization games for a while because of this, once you start them, things can get out of control.
I have been getting slight itch for them again though, specially with the trailers for 7. Though I am keeping myself in check for now, but plan to give 7 a try when it launches.
Mostly alternating between Echoes of Wisdom and Extermination Day via GZDoom on my Switch. I’ve played Extermination Day through Brutal Doom before, but this is a regular Doom enemies and weapons playthrough. For you non-criminal scum who are looking forward to Echoes of Wisdom, you’ll be happy to hear that it’s good. It surprised me, because at first I wasn’t very interested when I read that Zelda would summon enemies to fight rather than attack directly, but it’s actually quite fun to choose from a variety of things to tackle a given situation.
Frostpunk 2!!
I just played one hour yet, but will spend more hours on it today. Can probably do a review in a week. :)
