Great reminder. In 1000 years literally none of tonight’s results will matter at all. Rome is dead, more than likely the US will be too, at least in anyway we recognize it.
Not so great reminder - the death of Rome had a cascading effect across everywhere in the world it influenced, with both decline and fall resulting in the decline and fall of all influenced polities as well, whether friendly or hostile to Rome.
It’s not necessarily ‘all over’. But trying to lighten the prospect of this being the way we go? Not reassuring.
Looks to me like it’s depicting the invention of a Roman nuclear-powered upper stage.
