I think you mean “Called out by Marcus Aurelius.” The original “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” and “grindset” mentality proponent. Diogenes was pretty much the opposite of Aurelius. Aurelius was Emperor, and extremely rich. Diogenes slept in a big jar and begged for a living.
