Or: Are surfers near great whites 97% of the time? I feel like it’s more us encroaching on their domain rather than the opposite, and to switch up the order seems almost entitled.

It’s like walking into someone’s house uninvited and asking why they’re looking at you.

That is neat. From the one linked video I was reminded that sharks only attack surfers because they mistake them for turtles or seals. The article mentions juvenile white sharks so I wonder if these sharks are too young to differentiate the humans from seals and other seafood yet.
