Nanaimo as number 5 seems weird. I wonder if that’s spillover over from Victoria? Like people moving to Nanaimo after getting priced out from Vic?

It’s probably due to the lower income situation in Nanaimo since it’s a ratio in these rankings, not absolute cost.

Lower incomes coupled with the spillover from Victoria and Vancouver (because it has a direct ferry) would definitely make sense for a cause.
