It’s been a few days of using the Crafty+ in various ways, trying out all the functions, disassembling & cleaning it, etc.
Overall I’m blown away by the performance and it very much feels like an upgrade from my Dynavap in every way. Cant really find anything to complain about other than the dosing caps/lids being small and a bit of a pain to open sometimes.
Still love my Dynavap but this feels like a better fit for a daily driver for me. Luckily my buddy has two and can sell me the spare if I decide I want to buy it.
Side note: mixing bubble hash into ground flower and then vaping that mix in a dosing cap is my new favorite thing.
Love the Crafty - I actually preferred my original crafty over the mighty because I like the smaller size cooling unit (smooths the vapor a bit but not too much). The draw restriction on the Crafty and Mighty vaporizers is extremely low.
The Dynavap Vapcap is a very different unique vaporizer. I still thoroughly enjoy my 2020-M, although I do switch between vaporizers often because I enjoy how differently they all perform.
Right now I’m sipping on an ArGo vape for example which is very underpowered, but has a nice clean glass airpath for some awesome flavor chasing.
Crafty and Mighty are the kings. German engineering ftw.
With the Crafty, be sure you use the app of course, at least once. You can turn off the lights to make it really discrete, I usually keep it one tick above off so they’re not too bright. Also, you can double tap the button to use your boost temp, but if you triple tap you get a higher boost temp. My go to temps atm are 174, to 185, to 196 deg C, although you can’t set the triple boost temp so that might come out as 195 (it’s higher if you use higher temps for the other two settings).
You probably don’t have the filling tool, that used to come with them and was essential IMO. It screws onto the top in place of the cooling unit and lets you fill the bowl directly - however if you’re using dosing caps then it’s less important, and instead you might want the 8 cap dosing cap filler. I actually use both, I place the main filling tool on top of the dosing cap filler. There’s also a metal tube dosing cap holder, however you can get other ones of those elsewhere - I had some ear plugs that came in a similar metal tube, it opens at both ends and in total holds 4 caps and is relatively smell proof. So I’d give the official one a miss, however if you’re eyeing up a grinder the S&B ones are the best basic plastic grinders I’ve ever had.
