Dude if he makes a Lemmy app I will instantly buy it. RIF was such an amazing app that I literally used for my entire 10 years on reddit.

Last I heard they were working on an app for tildes instead, although they might get around to lemmy eventually

Man I sure hope so. Jerboa is working fine for me but I used RIF for like 10 years and I’m definitely missing it.

Currently I am really liking liftoff although the ui can be a bit odd such as the notification bell only being in the posts section before you scroll down and not having an inbox in your profile instead

things like this are why these days we build apps to be very independent from the APIs that serve them, makes it a lot easier when major API upgrades or service provider changes occur.

A name change wouldn’t even be necessary, he can run with a recursive acronym. “RIF = RIF is fun!”

Can probably call it Lemmy is Fun without being hit with a lawsuit. Back to the OG

Connect has been working great for me, similar enough to rif for me once I got my preferences dialed. Although if they ever make a “lif” app I will be there day 1

Yeah toss the cards and shrink the font and it’s close enough to RIF. I just haven’t got the navigation down on how to quickly sub to communities and search.
