Did anybody ever use it?

It was nice that it was there by default. Before cloud word processors it was useful if you were maintaining a bunch of windows servers and wanted some clean looking playbooks.

No ones shedding any tears though I think.

I see this being treated as good news, and in some ways it is a relief to not see RTF files anymore, but the fact that the most popular operating system in the world now no longer has a free word processor included isn’t great when you consider that Microsoft Word is a separate expense. They could have done the work to make a better free word processor but they decided to just scrap it instead. That is some Google shit.
