Hi, for going forward, we should as mod team discuss whether to allow posts of other OC creators’ content without their knowledge. Just be aware that OC creators retain their copyright to their content even if they posted publicly, and we (this Lemmy instance) do not yet have a way to handle potential DMCA claims.

Don’t studios also retain their copyright or are they less likely to try DMCA takedowns?
I guess if a creator wanted their content removed they’d PM a mod or report posts - and that would serve as a way to handle DMCA claims. If we aren’t allowed to post copyright stuff then only OC would be allowed and there aren’t many active creators on lemmy yet!
