Is the instance on Lemmy 0.18 or newer? Then it is affected by a bug on lemmys side causing federation to break with any non lemmy instance.

@revampeduser assuming you’ve subscribed so that the community is now regularly fetched from/pushed to kbin.social, then it’s likely a momentary hiccup with the federation which can be instance-specific

I just tried from lemm.ee to post on the meta magazine.

It worked. So I guess it’s possible.

There seems to be federation issues across the Threadiverse right now. Couldn’t tell you why though :/

New Lemmy version dropped, some instances upgraded, some didn’t, the differences bork federation in new and mildly interesting ways.
