Sad to see him go. I hope he does well in Dallas.

Saw elsewhere it would have cost an additional $40m in tax. It’s not my money, but I can get why that seemed too much.

What on earth Brad’s up to with all these 2nd round picks I have no idea. I suppose worst case is just have shotgun approach hoping you get a good one.

Anyways, I trust Brad.

Yep… Brad hasn’t made a mistake yet, no reason not to believe he knows what he’s doing.

Also per Woj https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1676734861535592448?s=20 :

Compensation update: Boston and Dallas will each receive two second-round picks in the deal.

I get why this happened (avoiding the second apron and the implications that has on team building) but fuck man, we just wiped out a lot of culture in the locker room.

a lot of toughness lost… who’s going to (try to) stop Giannis when he’s barreling to the basket?

It is slightly concerning. On the bright side, with Smart gone, it’s now officially Tatum and Brown’s team (assuming they offer Brown the supermax). Smart felt like the captain since he was the longest tenured Celtic. Now Tatum and Brown need to fully assume their leadership roles next season.
