Do note, I don’t control mlym.org, so, wouldn’t recommend putting your credentials into it!

It would be nice if there was a desktop site/app like this that was instance agnostic, so you could use it to log into an existing account.

Looks like it can be self-hosted. You should be able to install Docker and run it with the docker run command it shows (then go to localhost:8080). Here’s a link to it on GitHub: https://github.com/rystaf/mlmym
That, IS instance agnostic. Works with any instance. Just visit Mlmym.org and enter the instance.
