Worth noting also that Achilles (Brad Pitt’s character) is thought to have been gay (or at least in a couple of homosexual relationships). Obviously not 100% certain of this, but at the very least it’s how he’s viewed through a modern lens. So it’s weird that someone specifically went after this specific clip rather than any other ancient fighter in a movie? 300, Gladiator, I mean there were options.

All I know is this ad is going to live rent free in my head for a while.

They are measurably the most lonely people seeking a sense of community that is missing from their real lives. It makes them susceptible to radicalization, which is why they are so easily targeted with this kind of messaging of taking such immense pride in the depravity of inhumanness.
