The old bushel is equal to 2 kennings, 4 pecks, or 8 dry gallons, and was used mostly for agricultural products, such as wheat.

I just copied it from Wikipedia. The new bushel is based off the old bushel and the old bushel is not used so that’s right I guess

Most agricultural products are measured in bushels, including grain, soybeans, and corn. But yeah, weird standard of measure. Why not go by pounds?
