Cooper denounced the bills as “a triple threat of political culture wars” that he said would interfere with the ability of doctors and parents to care for vulnerable children whose lives have been thrust into the political spotlight and upended by legislation in dozens of Republican-led states.

“North Carolina Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper vetoed Wednesday a trio of bills aimed at LGBTQ+ youth that would ban gender-affirming health care for minors, restrict transgender participation in school sports and limit classroom instruction about gender identity and sexuality.”

I believe all transgender people make up about 0.7% of the population. That’s about 110,000. If 25% are minors, that’s around 27,000 people per year banned from getting the help they need.

40% end up commiting suicide as it is…

They know the suicide rate for transgender children is high. They’re fine with that. They want children to die. So pro-life of them.

I think your numbers are a little off. According to the Williams Institute trans people actually only make up about .5% of US citizens, and 18% of trans people are aged 13-17. The US population is around 338,000,000. Multiply that by .5% and you get 1,690,000 trans people in the US. 18% of 1,690,000 comes to 30,420 trans children between 13-17.

For sure. I just guessed at 25%.

What do you think it would be for North Carolina?

This is about a fraction of a fraction of a percent of children in this country. And Republicans are going insane about them.

Governor Roy Cooper, the last vestige of hope for North Carolina.

Josh Stein hopefully will succeed Cooper in the Governor’s position. He has the backing of the party and has a really good track record as AG.

Does a Jew have a chance in NC? I just assume that if you’re not ‘one of the good ol boys’ you don’t have a chance… A Harvard Educated Lawyer from DC… is gonna be a real outsider isn’t he?

Then how come the right is busy lowering the age for child marriage, for factory labor, slashing lunches for kids, going in for genital inspections, and rocking a solidly historic record of documented child abuse?

Why do you alt-reicht pedos always try to get ahead of the charges by projecting onto another group? It’s not even subtle. There’s only one thing to do with nazis and Nazi pedos.
