A male Araniella cucurbitina would be my guess.

Yeah, definitely Araniella. Ireland has at least A. Opistographa as well though, I don’t think there’s enough detail in this photo to tell them apart.

Ah good catch.

And yeah I hope so too. I wasn’t the most prolific IDer for r/whatsthisbug but I certainly did my part, and I’ll be sad to leave it behind. There’s always iNaturalist but I enjoyed the conversational feel of the subreddit over strictly just IDing.

I might post a few pics here to start ramping up engagement as well.
