I didn’t even realize until after I had completed this step.

Holy shit I’m stupid. I have this set and built it and thought this was reference to some electronics in the console. Durrrr

You’re not alone. I thought the same thing as I was building that step, then afterwards it clicked as to what I was looking at.

Yup, same here. Made me fall in love with Lego in such a different way than I already had. I’m hoping for more sets with Easter Eggs. The N64 Question Block is top tier.

“I didn’t know until after I built it” is super common in lego sets.

There’s a creator set of a tiger, it’s crazy detailed. Fully articulates, very impressive. All the way down to the pink flower shaped cat butthole. Not even joking, I’m sure someone’s shared it on Google. It cracked me up when I got to the step in the instructions.

I didn’t know about this Lego set. Are there Lego sets of popular game consoles?

This is the only one I’m aware of but I’m not super informed as to what sets exist.
