Not my pic. Found on a random organization blog with no source.

That’s cute. I like the look. But one of the major benefits of a shoe shelf is you can take the shoes on and off and place them on the shelf with just your feet. I’d have a really hard time putting my shoes on a shoe hook with my foot only

I agree. I have a pretty big shelf for mine. I just saw this and it seemed like a good idea if you don’t have many shoes. Plus it gives you a little more floor room.

Or you don’t have the space, this takes less horizontal space.

For people collecting footwear it may be a big benefit to place these hooks in many rows.

Yea I personally don’t like looking at the bottom of the shoes all the time, but this would be great if you wanted to let the water drain off them to dry. Just put something underneath to catch the stuff

Imagine hitting your ankle to one of the hooks

Doesn’t seem like it would be an issue. You wouldn’t be walking right along the wall close enough to hit them. Plus if it’s in a corner like in the pic, even less chance. Not my pic, so I wouldn’t know in person.

You don’t know me or my clumsiness. I’d find a way 😂

There’s a 90% chance I’ll catch my shoelace, trip and impale myself on one of those hooks.

You must be really and I mean really tall to have ankles 12-16 inches off the floor.

Do you take normal strides right up against the wall especially in the corners? Some fucking people.

I can’t help imagining my kid falling over, and impaling his eye sockets. Unlikely? Probably. But still a hard pass.

Why is my brain like this?

I’m told this after I start building a shoe rack… damn it!

Lol, I still prefer a shoe rack, but this looked like an interesting idea.

Landlord: No

Well obviously you would have to live somewhere where you could mount things to the wall to do this.

Landlords still have to abide by the “use the abide as a reasonable person would” that includes hanging things on the walls.

When you’re going to move, you can simply unscrew the rack and spackle over the screw holes in about 10 minutes. Home goods stores usually sell kits like these:

I recommend watching a quick 10 minute YouTube video on the procedure just to get acquainted with the process, but it’s relatively simple.
