Just wondering, why do we censor regular ass words, and names now?

certain sites reduce your ability to be seen in the algorithm if you swear and/or use ‘forbidden’ words – twitter does this [started doing this? it feels like a musk change, ironically] where if there’s a curse word, it’s automatically hidden under the ‘show more replies’ button and usually gets less engagement. it’s really sick and weird and puritanical.

oddly, saying hitler doesn’t mean i support hitler.

Yeah, considering most of the time that name is typed in a post, it’s not to applaud that person.

So I step out of the timeline for just one afternoon in order to see the Nicolas Cage as Superman movie from Timeline 23133-BD

And I find that we are having to repeat the transgender rights movement of the 40s, because apparently someone change the timeline so now the German sex researched Institute was burned down by fascists, preventing that from ever happening.

I’d go back and fix your mistake, but now I can’t get more plutonium for my Tucker (which is now a thing called a Delorean for some reason) it used to be available in every corner drugstore. But thanks to the meddling you did to get out of art class, apparently America dropped something called the atomic bomb on some Island near Asia… Now everyone thinks radiation is scary…

On that note, what the hell is anime and why does everyone keep talking about it?

That’s because this is literally a screen cap of a TikTok post.

No Hitler doesn’t necessarily mean the Nazis don’t rise to power or even prevent the Holocaust. While he is and was obviously central to everything about the Nazi Germany that came to exist, he wasn’t a singularity, Julius Streicher could probably have slid into Hitler’s role pretty easily had a few cards fallen differently.

Edit: and just to be clear I’m still fine with going back and killing Hitler, we just might have to make more than one trip if we want to fully prevent the crimes of the Nazis
