Found out I was missing out on a lot and that communities in all to subscribe to don’t show up until someone from your instance searches them out
So here’s some that have interested me.

Good call!
Did my part and searched them on my home instance and subbed to a few of them.
To the folks who are trying to do the same on their home instances, you can actually just paste the URL directly into the search field (eg. https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/c/switchpiracy) instead of doing the !switchpiracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com syntax.
When you click search it may return no results or just a post or two, but just wait for about 10 seconds or so you’ll see the community pop up. Like so.
As a retro computer enthusiast and BBS fan, thank you for sharing these. I’ve indexed them all to the SDF Lemmy instance (lots of retro nerds over there) and subbed to a few myself.
if you’re the first person on your instance to search for them, you’ll need to search the entire url, or search like !roms@lemmy.dbzer0.com
for your instance to initially discover them. After that they should show up as normal
Things still aren’t quite synced here on kbin so a lot of these are 404ing. Pulling them up in search seems to help. trying to subscribe to help trigger sync lol :)
Thank you for this list!
