He’s out of contract next summer so he would be free. We’re basically buying him for €35m a year before his contract expires but paying most of it next year, presumably for FFP reasons this year.

I don’t really care for either performance as it’s pre-season and fitness is key. The worrying thing is that the players who’ve just played 45m look much sharper than the first XI from yesterday.
