I thought it was in reference to Dark Brandon.

But SpaceX has literally lowered the cost of a launch by an order of magnitude. They also are flying one of the most successful rockets ever flown.

Evolution isn’t some sentient force striving for perfection. There is a lot of retarded stuff that we have evolution to thank for. This could just be a side effect of some other trait that normally helps the fish survive. Plus, earthquakes don’t happen often enough to affect evolution in the long run.

I don’t know if I quite agree with that being a morale issue. But that same logic nuclear reactors are immoral because if they blow up they can cause a lot of harm.

I do agree that it is a little sketchy for human flight, but they wouldn’t use it if there was a significant chance of it harming the people on board.

Going to the moon was a fantasy at one point. I just don’t see any downsides to trying to become multi-planetary. Even if it fails there would still be technology developed in pursuit of that goal that helps life on earth.

That wouldn’t happen for an extremely long time. It will be many generations before Mars would be self sufficient enough that they could wage war on Earth. I don’t feel like that’s enough of a possibility to not even try colonizing another planet.

I’m not aware of any reason on why we’d want to colonize the bottom of the ocean, but there’s many reasons to want to become a multi-planetary species. Space exploration has also lead to many technologies being used in everyday life today.

What’s morally questionable about fission fragment drives?

What do you mean from that distance? By the time he shot her they were <5 feet apart.

You’re right, it doesn’t change the fact that the cop completely failed at controlling the situation and she is now dead because of that, but it muddy’s the water and creates conversations that don’t need to be had (like this).

I don’t know why you seem to think that getting boiling water thrown at you would be like taking a hot shower, but that could seriously mess someone up for life.

Nope, she still had the pot in her hands up until the point he shoots her. You can even see steam coming off the ground after she gets shot.

I don’t think either of their lives are more or less important than the others, but I do think the officer has the full responsibility for how that situation plays out.

I just hate the dishonesty about the situation, it makes your criticism look weaker. You can 100% criticize the cop without lying about the facts.
