Hello! I’m doing my part as well!
You mean Memes on lemmy.ml? They are rather image centered, as far as I have seen. I’m looking for videos.
Also: The “frontier of the Internet” feeling here on Lemmy is awesome. Everyone I’ve interacted with is nice. It’s refreshing to share the Internet with “normal” people again. Hope it will stay like this for some time :)
I’d like to know that too. Do I have to mirror the whole fediverse in my personal instance?
Do you really mean “gender”? Bc for the viewer it might not important if someone is pangender, non-binary, etc. What might be more of interest is their sex, i.e. their plumbing.
What do you think?
I’m not sure either. The link i just posted wasn’t supposed to be a link. It just converted it to a link by itself?!
Regarding Jeroba (where I’m writing from) I just remeber the community name, type it in search, navigate to it and subscribe to it from there.
Since subscribing and unsubscribing isn’t a frequent action it’s OK.
Federation is done per community?! Ok, this creates more questions:
Then why are instances defederating whole instances if they’re unhappy with the content of specific communities?
And more on topic: What about new communities? Do you need to manually federate with need communities on an instance? This seems like a hassle… How does e.g. lemmy-world do it?
GoDaddy. Easy, no hassle. DNS config is OK. There are libraries to programmatically configure DNS (for Let’s Encrypt).
