One of my coworkers, while waiting on hold for 3+ hours with our company’s outsourced helpdesk, noticed after booting into safe mode that the Crowdstrike update had triggered a snapshot that she was able to roll back to and get back on her laptop. So at least that’s a potential solution.

I get a particular spam call at least once a day. I recently tried answering, setting my phone under a pot, and banging the fuck out of it with a spoon. Modern phones must suppress sudden loud sounds though because all I got was, “I think you’re breaking up, is anyone there?” Highly disappointing.

I at least enjoy their fiber internet service.

Is it really worth the cost after 144 Hz, though? Are there applications for a higher refresh rate than the human eye can even see?

I know there’s no numbered fixed limit on the human eye, obviously, but it seems like beyond a certain screen refresh rate our eyes wouldn’t really notice a difference, yeah?
