We all witnessed

I came here specifically to avoid meta and reddit

Most voters support climate change policy. The problem is the select few that block everything (mainly due to corporate lobbying).

Corporations, NIMBYs, and redtape are actively blocking common sense climate change related initiatives like public transit and high speed rail networks.

This is more of a case of our leaders not listening to those they represent

No one has anything to hide, until they do

This was going to happen eventually. A republican president and conservative Supreme Court was going to happen eventually and evangelicals have been going after Roe v Wade for decades. A major chunk of this country votes conservative. Now add to that the fact that the Democratic party in general is essentially 3 or 4 parties forced together this was bound to happen.

You can blame whoever you want but ultimately Trump happened because ppl were disillusioned with those who represent us. I don’t understand how ppl think liberal independents, progressives, Greens, etc. are going to keep voting for moderate democrats.

We got Trump because he wasn’t a beltway insider. Trump was able to sway independent voters simply because he wasn’t a career politician. Liberals, Greens, and progressives got tired of voting for moderate democrats who are ultimately conservative so they didn’t show up to vote.

We all know democrats take their voters for granted. It’s almost like ppl will stop voting for you if they feel ignored. Which is exactly what happened. Maybe a few years of Trump might be the kick in the pants our representatives needed
