This is what really confuses me about people annoyed with tipping culture. If we didn’t have to tip, but restaurants had to pay their workers enough to make workers stay, food prices would be an extra 18-25% higher anyways. At least with tipping you know it’s going to the staff.
Food service is the worst type of job, with really NO benefits except for tipping, and even then. I make just as much in my cushy accounting clerk job (which is the lowest level of accounting) as I did as a server. Except now I have benefits and TONS of free time to goof off on Lemmy. Serving was way way way worse.
Restaurants are a luxury. You pay luxury prices for these services or make your food at home.
This is what happened to me. I heard her songs on the radio, liked them enough, but never listened to a whole album or less well-known songs. She piqued my interest with folklore, hooked me with evermore, and reeled me in after I watched the Revolution tour on netflix. I think she is an everywoman. She is multifaceted and has sides of herself that appeal to a part of everyone. I like that she brings different groups of people (mainly women) together.
What’s your diet like? Are you eating a variety of leafy green vegetables? If not, add that to your daily food intake. You don’t even really need to change anything else if you don’t want to. But eating a variety of dark leafy greens will help your mitochondria, the powerhouse of your cells. Foods that help your gut are also imports, so sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt etc. fermented foods.
I add them to pretty much any of my foods, even when I am eating junk. Kimchi on pizza is one of my favorite combinations. It’s really good. I’ll cut up arugula and add it to my nachos. I add dark leafy greens to all my burritos, whatever else.
With any new diet change, start small and slow. So, if you barely eat dark leafy greens, start with spinach and add a bit of kale or arugula every couple of days. Same with yogurts and kimchi’s and stuff. Eat small amounts to begin with. Your body needs to adjust to the new foods. Eating too much too soon can cause discomfort.
I’m 37 I feel much better than I did in my 20’s but I have completely transformed my diet from mainstream processed foods to vegetable laden, especially dark leafy greens. I also do stretching exercises 1-3 times a week. Keeps me limber, and its relaxing, vs working out which is tiring. ( I work out too, but it’s the stretching that makes me feel better!)
sigh. so shortsighted. It sad that people don’t seem to really understand what’s to come.
I think the biggest thing I was unaware of is how to login. I need to login into my instance each time, I can’t login into any lemmy city. I forgot to my personal instance and tried to log into lemme.wrld. which left it spinning. I see this as being a big issue for laypeople like me.
I want to do this in my back yard. Did you dig it yourself? Did you use a liner or compaction method ? What plants did you use to aerate? What would you have done differently if you could have?
