Honestly, I think Lem is too similar to Mlem and Memmy and whatnot. I’d go with something Fed- or Thread- or Verse-related. Like Threader (could style it differently) or something
anybody got around to putting these into a nice, updated awesome-table on github? Could nicely display which ones are kbin / lemmy, iOS, Android, FOSS, etc.
Yeah as another person mentioned you’fe looking for Peertube. Though in my experience trying to use it, there’s no way I could replace Youtube the way I have Twitter & Reddit.
You’re looking for Matrix, a federated, encrypted communication protocol used by clients like Element, fluffychat, etc.
Started with Jerboa until the 0.18.0 issue, switched to Thunder which was buggier than I liked. But now that Liftoff is finally on F-Droid it feels like I’ve found the definitive Android client. Well until Artemis that is.
Newborn Paranoid 100%. I both fear and desire the slippery slope. Also, what’s the browser next to LibreWolf?
Honestly, I was perfectly fine with Jerboa in terms of look and functionality. Super simple, no-frills, and worked well enough. But the 0.18.0 update business introduced some issues, and Thunder was just buggy in my experience, so for now Liftoff is #1. Absolutely gorgeous and highly functional. Can’t see myself going back to Jerboa. Though I am really looking forward to having a kbin app in Artemis or @dansup’s project
