I think they’re saying in super hot tropical regions generations could pass without freezing temperatures. I don’t know enough about the weather in tropical regions to know if that’s true or not. Maybe like equatorial regions? Or the Seminole people in Florida? But I think trade with other regions and migration might throw that theory off.

Def. A legit shower thought, though! Lol

The word “memes” is entirely unnecessary to that sentence, tbh.

Lwaxana, be-still my heart.

Without question. Majel was the GOAT, too. I’ve always gotten this very sad vibe from her life story. Cheated out of being second in command of a star ship for being too “Manish,” relegated to an occasional side roll as a love lorn, and unlovable, nurse, then Lwaxana was very much so cast the same way, as undesirable, and while worthy of love, unable to actually achieve it. All while in real life she was being repeatedly cheated on by Roddenberry. At least Lwaxana got some real character development, and is a badass strong woman in her own right.

I’m so glad that SNW is giving her two TOS era characters the respect they deserved, and making them into the badasses that Majel deserves to play. It’s a great homage to her. They’ve also done a really good job at mimicking her voice for the computer in several scenes.

Sorry😅 that’s a wall of text to say that Majel Barrett rocks and Lwaxana is my favorite character of hers.

People forget. Star trek has already done a musical episode. Mr. Data sang the breakout pop hit “Life forms” on the bridge of the enterprise. It was glorious. It was amazing. It is literally the only thing you should watch, ever again. Just that. On loop.

Can someone explain to me why these two movies are linked? I keep seeing references to them together.

What’s crazy to me, I also remembered this as a DS9 episode until I watched it during an ent run a week ago.

That was, legitimately, one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. The bit with Moriarty was amazing!
