I tried lemmy a little, there’s not much content yet. It really depends on if the major power users migrate to lemmy, and on which instance they will migrate. The other problem being that I have yet to find a good mobile app to access the lemmy instances, and I’m too lazy to make my own (though it would be a good side hustle in my opinion).
My fave way to homebrew magic items :
- Take an existing magic weapon, usually a longsword
- Make it literally any other weapon suitable to the party (Mace, warhammer, halberd, dagger)
- ???
- Profit
Or I just remember some magic item or NPC from Baldur’s Gate / Icewind Dale (the video games) and roll with that. My favorite being handing out heads of the flail of ages, that’s always fun
undefined> Which OS are you on, android or IOS? On android I’m using Jerboa and it’s honestly quite a nice app for being in the alpha stage, didn’t check to see if it’s on IOS as well
Android, I tried getting Jerboa to work (it’s the only option after all), but I couldn’t, it keeps crashing on me
Currently working on a massive cookiecutter template to scaffold into all kinds of python projects, including ML, API/backend work, GUIs, python SDKs and such. The fun part is actually about configuring all of the dependencies and make it as modular as possible, giving the choice between poetry and pdm for the dependency management, black and yapf for the formatting, pyflakes, ruff and pylama for the linting etc.
Lemmy works by instances, every instance federates to every other instance in theory. So if you were to visit a post on lemmy.ml or lemmy.world, but your account is on sh.itjust.works, you kinda want to be redirected to the same post, but on your “home” instance (in this example, sh.itjust.works). That’s what this UserScript is for.
I wanted to do that, and I started on an extension for it, but as others have said, lemmy being open source means that improvements should mostly be made on the website itself, rather than on a browser addon.
The downside is that for user settings, they are stored on the instance’s database, which means that you need to know a little bit of rust to implement a new setting (I’m doing that right now to open comments in a new tab instead of having to middle/ctrl click)
Never been to south east Asia, is it that common? I always thought it was a porn trope or something.
I’m french, I bake my own bread. It’s not as good as the down street bakery but it’s my own, there’s something satisfying about knowing the process of how to bake such a cornerstone of the culinary world
