That is not only a cool looking cactus bed, but a great photo as well.

In high school, my friends and I were getting into Ubuntu. We were smug Linux nerds. We came up with the idea of installing Linux on one of the school computers. The challenges in doing so was, how to do so without the teacher noticing and getting into the locked bios. The teacher problem was solved when we got a little bit of time when the teacher would step out of the room sometimes. We picked a desktop that wasn’t being used by anyone at the time in the class. The other problem was getting into the bios to boot the drive. Long story short, we were able to switch a jumper on the motherboard to clear the bios settings and let us boot the drive. With Ubuntu installed, it took all of about a day for the school to take that PC to the IT gulag. I think they were very confused and threw it out. We didn’t want them to just throw more desktops out so we stopped our shenanigans there.

Well infections are pretty serious so going to the hospital seems to be a must. Make a note of the medicines you’ve had bad reactions to and mention them to the doctor/nurse there. I know hospitals are scary, I hate them too. If you have anyone you can go with, ask them. If not, take something to give you comfort, you’ll be waiting a lot there. Unless it’s ridiculously serious, I doubt they’ll hold you overnight. Likely they’ll assess the infections the best they can, prescribe some antibiotics, and tell you to follow up with your primary doctor. Besides the emergency room, “urgent care” is also an option, but your mileage may vary how good they are. They’re like emergency room, but for less severe stuff and focus on quickly assessing you, rather than a more thorough triage that a hospital might give. Again, be sure to mention your reactions to the medicines you were given. I hope you can get the help you need.

That’s very equitable, honestly.

I was just thinking this. Ken says “patriarchy” over a dozen times. I don’t think Barbie says it much, if at all.

The thin blue line is the politics. And sadly, the pride flag has been embroiled into the political space too, even though it may be shouldn’t be.
