*Anyway, I wonder how it will be received by viewers who are not part of Love Live fandom. * It’s me. I’ve never engaged with Love Live at all, and was unaware that this show was affiliated. I saw a new show on CR, so I gave it a shot. I really enjoyed it thinking it was a standalone show. I’m not normally one for idol shows, so knowing now that it’s part of a huge franchise, I wonder if things will stay small/localized. Definitely saw enough to keep watching though.

I really think this show is great. I’m enjoying how the characters all bounce off of each other. The Satania x Uzaki combo never fails to crack me up, especially when you remember that it’s supposed to be a dude. This one is really fun.

Really digging this one. The art style makes you think moe blob cute stuff, but this show is super dark.

I think this stuff just falls into the anime industry thinking they need to have more and more shows every season. It seems like they either take some half baked idea and crank out a show, or they remove all the nuance from something interesting to make it easily digestible. I have noticed a trend of that recently, and I’m really not sure which it is. I watch a LOT of anime (30+ currently airing shows a season) and I may just be more sensitive to it, but the amount of shows that have an interesting premise, and then just turn into “Wise Man’s Grandchild” are a lot more than you’d expect. Another one from this season is Sweet Reincarnation, where a pastry chef died and is reincarnated into a wealthy family with a dream to make everyone happy with desserts, but as a 9 year old kid, he’s a master negotiator, able to lead in battle, and amazes everyone he meets with his skills and magic. It kinda defeats the purpose of the setup IMO.

I enjoyed the show ok while it aired, but like you I will probably not really remember it after this upcoming season. I am an admitted sucker for isekai trash, so I’ll continue watching them, but the trend is concerning for sure.

I realized last week that this show is Senko-san for women. :P Really enjoying this one.

The Prologue seems to be completed. Really interested to see where this goes next.

I am enjoying this show, but I’m really bothered that she still hasn’t figured out that things have changed. I mean, I guess that would change her motivations a bit, but it’d take someone really dense to have already made so many changes from the game, but still think the story is on track.

I didn’t know what to expect from this show when I started, but I’m really enjoying it. Like the motley crew he’s assembling just by being awesome and standing by his principles. Also the ED is a banger.

This show is really good. I look forward to it every week. It’s so cute and wholesome, and I really dig the art style. Definitely one of my favorites of the season.

This show is pretty frustrating. It seems like it can’t decide what kind of show it wants to be. Sometimes it’s the slapstick, ecchi lite comedy with the “omg the girl touch me” and sometimes it’s a serious look inside his motivations and how to move on/move forward. I thought it was going to have him move along to the onee-san, but she’s a middle schooler?!? I have to admit I laughed when that came to light.

I really enjoyed the first few episodes where it seemed to be a pretty realistic take on how everyone would react if a guy like him suddenly stopped. I think he has the potential to be a good character, and has a good head on his shoulders for the most part, just things are a bit scattered with the show itself.
