I remember when we signed Joel Veltman and the Ajax fans told us he was a shite defender making a lot of mistakes.

He’s been our most solid defender for years now and one of the best right backs in the PL. Whereas I’m not entirely sure the Ajax defenders today are any better than Joel was.
