Data at Amazon has never been king, it was lip service at best and in most case it was only ever to be used to attack someone else’s position, never to support your own.

He’s just continuing the tradition

This remind me of one year, Amazon Canada gave empty gift cards for Amazon.com to their corporate employees.

Yes, empty gift cards. HR’s reasoning was that you can refill them and gift them away!
