For me it’s sentence structure and grammar. I’ll use words like ‘mate’ when talking to non-aussies but they’ll be in very formal sentences. With other Australians all that gets chucked out.

So assuming you’re an American. I hate to break it to you but your government has done way worse stuff than elect an orange guy. I seriously doubt everything done holds up to the slightest scrutiny to your moral and ethical code. The only difference is now you are aware of it. If it was me I would ask myself if I felt guilty for the work I had done already. If I did I would stop if not I wouldn’t.

I hate that I only learned about this after I got out of school. Love to tell us about all the corrupt govs in the world, hate to tell us that time and elected official got replaced because of a bunch of shitfuckery and a bunch of CIA dollars.
