Any tension around Tony cheating is removed because it wouldn’t make sense to French people

From Dusk Til Dawn which only sorta counts isn’t like…a masterpiece by any means, but it’s really really fun.

But yeah, Jackie Brown is just like…holy shit good. It’s the movie I wish did really well so Tarantino could have become a really amazing film maker instead of it kinda flopping and him retreating into doing what if pulp fiction but x genre? He got the acclaims regardless, but I wish he became a film maker instead of Quentin Tarantino.

That isn’t gonna fix the core, that’s just gonna mean some of the forced labor is being done in a comically stupid way by someone you can never convince otherwise. Not learning goes into every aspect of life.

I haven’t seen that clip in years and holy hell it made me realize how much George Carlin I have in my manner of speech. I saw this particular special at age 11 with my grandfather, who I had a particular affinity and personal similarity to even as a kid. Dude turned down a military officers position hanging out in West Germany reinstalling nazis after the war to be a firefighter who then set up a mutual aide network between rural fire departments and spearheaded women being integrated pretty iron fistedly. He would also boycott any product that he found the TV commercials for too patronizing or just bugged him. I subsequently tracked down everything Carlin ever did and memorized it down to the cadence and delivery cause I was Gifted and well, A LOT got internalized into my normal speech.

I like Reservoir Dogs, but generally agree. I also really like Jackie Brown, he’s trying to not be all Tarantino for that one and it’s pretty great.

Thinking back, this was the least important election of my life cause dole/clinton made for a classic tree house of horror segment.

I can see the upsides and downsides there, depends on how vertically or horizontally oriented your country geographically. I’m in Canada and we’re kind of a wide ass country, having newfoundland and bc on the same timezone would be a pain.
