I’ve been thrilled with duviri for the same reason! I’ve gained some respect for weapons that I had previously disregarded and sold after leveling. It really feels like it’s putting new life into the game. At least to someone who’s gotten through most of it.

Without that sink for heat, you’ll still cool your drink by allowing the colder solid to absorb heat from the liquid, but the temperature change will not be nearly as much.
