I don’t think so? But I’ve never had the problem you describe. Yes they do make a little bit of noise when putting them on, mostly from the headband being adjusted, but after that they’re quiet.

The headphones cost me ~95 USD, the dac/amp (refurbished) was ~74 USD. Plus a negligible amount for the short cable.
