A pretty good deal for both sides. The Lakers get a decent player to carry the load through the regular season to not wear down Lebron and AD too much, but they’re paying less than $20M/year. I just hope he builds more chemistry with AD, because the Lakers have lacked a consistent playmaker to lob the basketball and create easy, verticle offenses above the basket since Rondo was here.
I was at the game, and that shot was hype! It went from anxious impatience for the Spurs-Hornets game, to a whole arena full of crazy celebrations, which added to the feverish buzz in the building. Unfortunately, Wemby snuffed out that ember real quick.
As a Dodgers fan, watching Kimbrel set up the endless 9th inning gave me flashbacks, and I was sure Julio would walk him off.
Sync for Reddit used to have the best tablet UI/UX, so here’s hoping that Sync for Lemmy will eventually include it!
For notes, UpNote has a great tablet interface.
Weather - Weather Today (not to be confused with Today Weather, which is also good, but I’m not sure if it has a proper tablet UI).
Journaling - Journey has a decent UI/UX (at least for reading your entries).
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
With the exception of a headphone jack, this phone is the last Samsung “flagship” to have “everything.” MicroSD card is a critical feature for me, and until Samsung brings it back in their upcoming flagships, I’m eyeing the Sony Xperia I V, although this device is still chugging along fine. A few slowdowns every now and then, but quite manageable.
Edit: Also forgot to include the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra, which has been a delight as a media consumption device! I managed to make it a laptop replacement, but extra work or altering your routine is necessary. If they managed to include Windows 11 on this thing, it would be unparalleled! But that’s just wishful thinking. I also wish the keyboard cover had the fluidity and features of a Macbook’s keyboard and track pad, but again, more wishful thinking.
And Nvidia Shield Pro, if that counts. Best streaming device ever, and has a robust app selection from the Playstore!
Summer League threads are usually pretty low volume even on r/nba. Unfortunately, we missed the big-name free agency and trade deadlines to foster discussion, so the real foundation for this community will probably be opening week (pre-season is also low volume or a bunch of low-effort overreactions anyways).
This sucks, but at least it isn’t some season-ending injury that will pretty much guarantee to sink our play-off hopes. Get well soon, Kersh!
As a Samsung user, One Handed+ is a game changer. Placed on either/both side of the phone, I don’t need to veer towards the bottom of the screen. Much faster and ergonomically superior to buttons or stock gestures.
I hate the concept of resting your 20 year old draft picks. Some of these players - especially Wemby - need all the exposure and development they can get. That’s why I loved Jabari Smith Jr’s attitude about Summer League, and the fact that Max Christie has played every game so far!
